Formwork, Shoring & Access

Wall, slab, pier and climbing systems engineered to your pour sequence, plus the shoring and access that keeps the crew safe while they work. Supplied for sale or hire, with drawings and a bill of materials for every pour.

Formwork stock
210,000 m²
Shoring stock
46,000 m³
Design pressure
120 kN/m²
Call-off lead time
72 hours

Position

Formwork is judged on two things: the surface it leaves behind and the number of times the crew can turn it around in a week. Both are decided at the drawing board, not on site. IBEC works from the pour sequence backwards, sizing panels to the concrete pressure the mix and the placing rate will actually generate, then issuing a marked-up assembly drawing and a bill of materials for each and every pour so nothing arrives on site as a surprise.

Applications

  • Metro station boxes and cut-and-cover
  • Pier shafts, pier caps and abutments
  • Residential and commercial towers
  • Mass affordable housing
  • Water retaining and industrial structures

01Systems

What we supply.

Each system is engineered to the job in front of it. The figures below are the working envelope, not a catalogue limit.

01

Steel-Framed Wall Formwork

Modular panels on a steel frame for walls, abutments and retaining structures, with a plywood or steel face depending on the finish class required.

Design pressure
up to 80 kN/m²
Panel module
300 – 2,400 mm
Face
18 mm film-faced ply / steel
Repetitions
100+ (ply), 500+ (steel)
02

Heavy Girder Formwork

Purpose-built soldier and girder assemblies for tall pier shafts, thick walls and any geometry that a modular panel cannot resolve.

Design pressure
up to 120 kN/m²
Lift height
up to 6.0 m
Geometry
Tapered, battered, curved
03

Slab Formwork & Flying Tables

Panel, beam and table systems for suspended slabs, sized to be struck and flown to the next bay without dismantling.

Slab thickness
up to 900 mm
Table size
up to 5 × 12 m
Cycle
4 – 6 day floor cycle
04

Aluminium Monolithic Formwork

Room-sized aluminium sets for mass housing, casting walls and slab in one operation to give a finish that takes paint directly.

Repetitions
250 – 300 uses
Panel weight
~24 kg/m²
Cycle
4 – 7 days per floor
Finish
Plaster-free
05

Climbing & Self-Climbing Systems

Crane-climbing brackets and hydraulic self-climbing platforms for cores, pylons and pier shafts, working independently of crane availability.

Climb height
unlimited, 2.7 – 4.5 m lifts
Platform load
1.5 – 3.0 kN/m²
Wind design
Operational to 72 km/h
06

Heavy Duty Shoring & Props

Tower and frame shoring for deck soffits, transfer slabs and heavy industrial floors, with leg loads verified against the actual founding conditions.

Leg capacity
up to 200 kN
Height
up to 30 m
Assembly
Ring-lock / cup-lock / frame
07

Pier & Column Formwork

Circular, rectangular and adjustable column moulds, including the segment moulds and match-cast beds behind a precast operation.

Diameter
600 – 4,000 mm
Lift
up to 6.0 m
Tolerance
± 3 mm on section
08

Access, Screens & Edge Protection

Perimeter safety screens, working platforms, loading bays and stair towers, designed as part of the formwork scheme rather than bolted on afterwards.

Screen height
2 – 3 floors
