IBEC — Innovative Construction Solutions
Quality, health, safety & environment

Checked by someone who did not design it.

Temporary works fail at the interfaces — between the design and the shop, between the shop and the site, between one crew and the next. Everything here is aimed at those seams.

01Principles

Four rules with no site-level override.

Written down, audited, and applicable to a director on a visit exactly as much as to a first-week operative.

01

Design out the risk first

The largest safety decisions on a bridge are made in the design office. Every scheme is reviewed for what it asks a person to do at height, over water or near a live edge — and redesigned when the answer is unacceptable.

02

Nothing loads without a check

No temporary works structure carries load until a permit to load is signed by a competent person against the checked design. It is the single hard rule that has no site-level override.

03

The machine tells the truth

Launching and lifting equipment carries load monitoring and interlocks that stop the operation rather than warn about it. An operator should not have to be the last line of defence.

04

Report the near miss

Near misses are logged, investigated and closed with the same process as incidents. A site that reports nothing is not a safe site; it is an unmeasured one.

02Certification

Held, audited, and available on request.

Certificate numbers and issuing bodies are listed below. Copies are issued with any pre-qualification submission.

StandardSubjectScopeCertificate

Certificate numbers are held back until IBEC confirms them. Populate the certificate and body fields in src/content/assurance.ts, and delete any entry that is not actually held.

04Standards

What we design to.

Indian codes as the base, European and American practice where the Indian code is silent — and always the more onerous of the two where they overlap.

We will send the full pack.

Management system certificates, welding procedure qualifications, welder approvals, safety statistics and a reference list. Ask and it goes out the same week.

An engineer reads every enquiry. Expect a technical reply within two working days, not a brochure.
