IBEC — Innovative Construction Solutions
Division 01 — Machines that build spans

Bridge Construction Systems

Self-launching gantries, movable scaffolding and form travellers, designed around your span arrangement rather than adapted to it. Every machine is engineered, built, trial-assembled and commissioned by the same team.

Position

A viaduct is built by the machine that erects it. Span length, pier geometry, segment weight, headroom and the alignment radius all sit inside one equation, and the moment a contractor tries to force a standard gantry onto a non-standard alignment the programme starts leaking days. IBEC designs the machine to the deck. We take the span arrangement, the segment schedule and the site constraints, and return a launching scheme with the erection cycle time already proven on paper.

Applications

  • Elevated metro viaducts
  • Expressway and highway viaducts
  • River crossings and estuarial bridges
  • Rail flyovers and ROBs
  • Interchange ramps on tight radii

What we supply.

Each system is engineered to the job in front of it. The figures below are the working envelope, not a catalogue limit.

01

Overhead Launching Gantry

Span-by-span erection of precast segments from above, where the alignment is clear overhead and piers can carry the launching reactions.

Span range
25 – 72 m
Segment weight
up to 160 t
Erection cycle
3 – 5 days per span
Min. radius
180 m
Launch
Self-launching, hydraulic
02

Underslung Launching Gantry

The answer to restricted headroom — running below deck level under live traffic, overhead lines or an existing structure.

Span range
20 – 50 m
Segment weight
up to 120 t
Headroom needed
Nil above deck
Typical use
Urban metro viaducts
03

Movable Scaffolding System (MSS)

Cast-in-situ span-by-span construction where precasting yards are not viable. Available overhead and underslung, with organic prestressing on the longer configurations.

Span range
30 – 60 m
Deck width
up to 26 m
Cycle
7 – 12 days per span
Configuration
Overhead / underslung
04

Form Traveller

Balanced cantilever construction over water, deep valleys and live rail, where nothing can be supported from the ground.

Segment length
3.0 – 5.0 m
Segment weight
up to 250 t
Cycle
5 – 7 days per pair
Deck
Variable depth box girder
05

Incremental Launching Equipment

Launching nose, sliding bearings, guides and jacking plant for decks pushed out from a casting bed behind the abutment.

Deck length
no practical limit
Push force
up to 8 × 250 t
Gradient
up to 4 %
06

Segment Lifters & Straddle Carriers

Getting segments from the casting yard to the gantry: stacking, transport and pick-up equipment sized to the segment schedule.

Lift capacity
60 – 200 t
Yard throughput
up to 12 segments/day
07

Heavy Lifting & Skidding

Strand jacking, hydraulic gantries and skidding tracks for single-lift erection of trusses, arches and complete spans.

Strand jacks
30 – 1,000 t
Synchronisation
± 2 mm across points

What comes with it

  • Erection method statement and cycle-time study before contract award
  • Category III independent design check on every launching scheme
  • Structural, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical design under one roof
  • Full trial assembly in the works before despatch
  • Commissioning crew and supervisors resident for the first three spans
  • Instrumented load testing and deflection verification

An engineer reads every enquiry. Expect a technical reply within two working days, not a brochure.
